DAY 1:
Arrive to the picturesque Southern Patagonian town of El Calafate. Meet your guide at the airport and take a short drive to our partner lodge in El Calafate. Spend the afternoon exploring this beautiful town.

DAY 2:
Awake to the beauty of Southern Argentina, surrounded by steep mountain peaks and vibrant blue water! Enjoy breakfast then depart for the Perito Moreno Glacier. Located in Los Glaciares National Park, the Perito Moreno glacier is considered by many to be the 8th natural wonder of the world and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. One of the largest glaciers in Patagonia, Perito Moreno reaches an average height of 240 feet high as it rises from the glorious Argentino Lake. Spend the day exploring this magnificent glacier and sailing around the lake. Arrive back to Calafate by 5pm and rest up for an exciting day tomorrow.

DAY 3:
Say goodbye to your Calafate guide and take a morning bus ride (3 hours) from El Calafate to El Chaltén. Meet your guide at the bus station then drop off your belongings at the partner lodge in El Chaltén. Depart for an afternoon hike to Mirador de las Aguilas. This scenic 1-hour hike takes you through lush forest before arriving to the top where you'll see panoramic views of El Chaltén, including the Fitz Roy range. You may view a wild armadillo or condors along the way! In the evening, enjoy a traditional Argentinian barbecue and prepare for the first day of your trek the following day.

DAY 4:
Time to hit the trail! Depart from the hotel and head West, hiking along the Fitz Roy river en route to Laguna Torre and Grand Glacier. At the end of the valley, see Laguna Torre, its glacier, and the famous Mt. Cerro Torre, which is considered one of the most difficult mountains in the world to climb. Sleep at Thorwood Camp that evening.

Total distance: Approximately 6 miles/4 hours of trekking.

DAY 5:
After breakfast, head North for another day of magnificent views. The glacial valley you trek though today is loved by geologists and photographers for its perfect “U” shape. Pass by three more lakes today: Laguna Huja, Laguna Lago Capri and Laguna Madre. Hike another mile to Camp Poincenot where you will stay the night. Drop your bags and take a steep path toward Laguna de Los Tres, the closest you can get to Mt Fitz Roy before needing technical skills. At the top, enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Fitz Roy, its satellite mountains, and the valley through which you have come.

Total distance: Approximately 7 miles/4.5 hours of trekking.

DAY 6:
After breakfast, hike towards El Pilar where a van will be waiting to take you to Laguna Condor Mountain Hut. Relax in the hot tub or take a bike for a ride around the area.

Total distance: Approximately 5 miles/3 hours of trekking.

DAY 7:
LAGUNA CONDOR TO EL CHALTÉN (1,312 FT/399M) After breakfast, relax at the lodge or explore the area around Laguna Condor. Enjoy a dip in the hot tub or take a bike ride before heading back to El Chaltén in the late afternoon.

DAY 8:
Take an early-morning bus from Chaltén to Calafate (unaccompanied), arriving to the airport by 1pm for your international departures. Note, OneSeed suggests booking your flight from El Calafate after 4pm in order to prevent any missed connections. End of services.
